My name is Sheryl Derilo. I am a freelance graphic designer/illustrator based in beautiful and sunny Perth, Western Australia. I completed a Bachelor of Design at Curtin University in late 2008, majoring in Graphic Design. Not to toot my own horn...but during our graduation showcase, I was awarded with an Award for Academic Achievement in Graphic Design after achieving the highest mark in my major! -- there's more! »
Even as a child, I had this fascination with drawing and illustrating, I was constantly found with a pencil and sketchbook in hand, drawing animals from nature books. This enjoyment and curiousity for art has definitely led me to where I am today. However, now I have learned that these art skills can be used with a purpose in mind - and this is my definition of what design is! art with a purpose...
